Revitalization Workshop on Geospatial Information Governance Mandate Under the Law No.4 of 2011

Bandung, fitb.itb.ac.id On 28-29 July 2011, FITB collaboration with the Alumni Association of Geodesy (IA-GD), the Association of Surveying and Mapping of Indonesia (APSPI), Association of Surveyor Indonesia (ISI), and the Agency Bakosurtanal Pertanagan (BPN) has conducted a workshop entitled “Revitalization accordance Geospatial Information Governance Commission Act No.4 of 2011” in the East Hall Bandung Institute of Technology. Workshop will be opened by Prof. Dr. Hasanuddin ZA representing the rector.

This workshop is a form of positive response and contribution FITB-ITB as part of the geospatial community in Indonesia with regard to the issuance of the law. Workshop will be held with a view to formulating various aspects and use of data and information in national geospatial industry associated with the operation and implementation of geospatial information laws and make recommendations to the government as the organizer of the arrangement, the implementation and use of geospatial information.
Three keynote speakers filling the initial session workshop, namely: Ir. Daryatmo Mardiyanto (Member of Commission VII DPR RI), Dr. Asep Karsidi (Head Bakosurtanal), and Prof. Dr. Hassanudin ZA (ITB). Events workshop was filled by six panelists in two sessions into the afternoon. On the second day held formulating recommendations from a workshop which later produced seven-point recommendation to be submitted to the government in this regard Bakosurtanal.
