Member School Students visit the Navy PUSDIKHIDROS to ITB

Bandung, fitb.itb.ac.id – Faculty of Earth Science and Technology (FITB) received a visit as many as 22 people from PUSDIKHIDROS (Hydro Education Center for Oceanography) around 09.00 am and the street vendors received by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Eng. Nining Sariningsih, MS. This visit is a continuation of that has been done previously in 2009.

The event began with the presentation of Dr. Eng. Nining Sariningsih the general description FITB including Study Program (Prodi) and Group Skills / Scientific (KK). Then followed by Dr. Eka Djunarsah Chairman Prodi (Kaprodi) Geodesy and Geomatics he explained about Multi Stage & Multi Sensors Survey System, Mechanical Fotogrametris, Remote Sensing, Mechanical satellites, mapping land sea and space objects, three-dimensional mapping is summarized in three main points, namely positioning, earth’s gravity field and the dynamics of the earth and kurikukum education. And a recent presentation by Dr. rer.nat Mutiara Putri Rachmat represent Oceanography, he explained about the focus of the development of physical oceanography covering applied theoretical, experimental and modeling.

Sessions are many questions concerning the field of Hydro Oceanographic them on MSL (Mean Sea Level), systems technology implementation tidal and Z zero. Meanwhile, from their arrival PUSDIKHIDROS itself states aimed at deepening the surveyor that can later be applied in the Navy. Souvenirs submission terminate the meeting for the next visit to Prodi and KK to see the existing facilities mainly existing equipment in laboratories.
