Students Oceanography FITB-ITB Mangrove Planting

Student of the Faculty of Oceanography and Earth Tekonologi Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) to plant mangrove trees in Turkish Kesenden, Sunday (21/11). The activity was attended by Head of Maritime Affairs, Fisheries, Livestock and Agriculture (DKP3) Cirebon, Ir H Odi Suryadi.
According to the Chairman of Oceanographic Studies Program Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology ITB, Dr Pearl Princess Grace, planting activities as a means of introduction to oceanography profession. This time the number of trees planted mangrove trees reach 1,290. Besides planting, also will be held seminars, blood donation, to promote study programs to schools.
Meanwhile, the head of Ir H Odi DKP3 Suryadi concern welcomes students of Oceanography them. He hoped the planting of mangrove in Turkish Kesenden can succeed. “If the mangrove trees grow and become successful mangrove forests, then the community will enjoy the benefits are,” said Odi.
