Description of laboratory:

Organizationally, the Applied Meteorology Laboratory is under the Faculty of Earth Science and Technology Institute Technology Bandung managed by the Meteorology Study Program. This laboratory organizes several practicums for students, as well as conducting observations and measurements of climatic elements whose results can be used for the research of lecturers and students, both from the Meteorological Studies Program and others such as Environmental Engineering, Civil, Architecture, Biology, Geology, as well as agencies that require climate data around the campus area of Institute Technology Bandung.

Functions :

  • Education

Applied Meteorology Laboratory holds practicum in the field of meteorology, climatology, meteorological observation, meteorological data analysis and others. It also provides meteorological data for the purposes of Practicum, Final Report of undergraduate students, Thesis, and Desertation.

  • Research

Preparation of meteorological data support the development of meteorologigal research such as climate change, hydrometeorology, and also research that require meteorological data.

  • Community Services

Providing public education on the impacts of climate change, flood potential areas, and others.
