Master and Doctoral Program in Earth Sciences at the ITB was established in 1995 and 2003, respectively. their goal is to produce graduates with a thorough academic knowledge and professional abilities, and to develop and implement oceanography, atmospheric science, and seismology to mis geohazard reduction. Masters and Doctorate Program in Earth Sciences has three sub-specialty programs as follows:
Students are directed to study the physical and dynamic properties of ocean waters that are important to the marine industry / technology, the environment, and the exploration of renewable marine resources.
Research Interests: Wave modeling and analysis; Coastal waters dynamics (hydrodynamics and transport phenomena); modeling of marine environment (local, regional and global); air-sea interaction and ENSO; Environmental management of coastal waters; Tide and long-wave analysis and modeling; sea surface topography analysis and modeling; marine ecosystems and global change; fishery oceanography
