The focus of the geological engineering course is “the present is the key to the past”, which requires a strong base of natural sciences, science, basic engineering, engineering and other supporting sciences such as humanities or general studies.

Geology is the study of earth. Besides the basic science of chemistry, physics and mathematics, geology is studied the most basic element of rock, which includes various types and physical and chemical properties, the process of its occurrence, its existence and its composition in the outermost part of the earth’s crust. Besides, geology studies the processes that occur on earth, both from within the earth such as volcanic events, earthquakes, and dynamics of movement on earth, as well as processes on the surface such as erosion, sedimentation and other changes to rocks. In the use of natural resources, geology also studies more specifically about important rocks and minerals such as gold, silver, copper and other materials for industrial minerals, as well as energy sources such as oil and gas, geothermal, coal and water resources. In the field of engineering expertise geologists are required in relation to high-rise buildings, dams, bridges, and groundwater management.

Master of geology may work in both domestic and foreign enterprises in the field of exploration in the mineral resources industry; Petroleum and natural gas; and geothermal energy industries. In addition geology scholars can also work as researchers in government / private institutions and education. Utilization of natural resources also provides an opportunity for a geologist to be entrepreneurs in the exploitation of minerals class C and precious stones
