Bandung, Indonesia – The highly anticipated Capacity Building Training on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation commenced on Saturday, (15/7/2023) at the Aula Timur of the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB). The workshop brought together experts, practitioners, and participants from various countries of the Pacific Region to deepen the critical topics of disaster risk reduction and climate change.
The first day of the workshop commenced with an interactive presentation on the “Basic Theory of Disaster and Hazard vs. Disaster” by Prof. Irwan Meilano, S.T., M.Sc. , the Dean of FEST ITB. Participants actively discuss the basic knowledge of geohazard and how it impacts on communities.
