Welcome New Students ITB 2009

Bandung (fitb.itb.ac.id) – (14/08) Located at the ITB LFM reception ceremony was held for new generation of students in 2009/2010. The event was once inaugurated new admissions at the faculty level after passing through the activities organized by ITB. The number of students admitted to the Faculty of Science and Technology of Earth (FITB) this year reached 274 people.

Event starts at 08.30 and was opened by the Dean of FITB Ir. Lambok Hutasoit, Ph.D. In his presentation, Dean explained the perspective of science and geoscience technology, introducing the leaders and staff, the trustees, the ratio of faculty and students and scholarships in FITB. It also focuses Dean-related cases involving perjokian ITB students, so that economic factors should not be an obstacle for many scholarships that can be utilized.

The introduction of courses delivered respectively by Dra. Atika Lubis (Representing Kaprodi Meteorology), Ivonne R M, Ph.D (Kaprodi Oceanography), Dr.Ir. Eka Djunarsah (Kaprodi Geodesy and Geomatics) and Dr.Ir. Dardji Noeradi (Kaprodi Geological Engineering). In addition, to facilitate the activities of students outside the academic explained by student associations from GEA (Student Association of Engineering Geology), HMME (Student Association of Meteorology), HMO (Student Association of Oceanography) and IMG (Student Association of Geodesy and Geomatics.

The interaction between the speakers and new students held a question and answer session moderated by Dr. Ir Budi Brahmantyo, M.Sc. The students were eager to ask directly to the speakers start to the question related to the study program, climate change, set, natural disasters and so on. The event ended by singing “In thee State” led by a moderator and followed by all participants and speakers.
