Members of the Navy PUSDIKHIDROS visit to ITB

Faculty of Science and Technology of Earth receive visits (study tour) of a member of the Navy PUSDIKHIDRO (Education Center Hydro – Oceanography) about pkl 10.00 am led by Commander PUSDIKHIDROS and accepted by Prof.Dr. Safwan Hadi (Chairman KK Oceanography) and some representatives of the lecturers of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering Department and Oceanography.

Commander PUSDIKHIDROS brought some students from the Navy in the study Hydro Oceanography, he said the purpose of the arrival of the members is to know more about Oceanography at the Bandung Institute of Technology also expects synergies of ITB as a center for the development of science and PUSDIKHIROS as the application of science are developed. The request was welcomed by representatives of FITB Prof. Safwan Hadi with the presentation of the Oceanographic one of the subject matters of which are found Oceanography very useful for national defense and security given the vastness of the oceans and marine resources potential in it that could be used effectively and efficiently. Also in the event some of the lecturers of Geodesy and Geomatics describes the utilization of geodesy and geomatics technology in mapping the sea Indonesia. The event was followed by a question and answer session and a lot of questions submitted by members of the Navy PUSDIKHIDROS primarily on the application of science of Oceanography and Geodesy and Geomatics.
