Navigating innovation : insights and breakthroughs at the 4 th msat conference

Bandung (26 – 27/10/2023), Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FEST) – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) hosted a highly anticipated international mini-symposium, the 4th International Conference on Maritime Sciences and Advanced Technology (MSAT).

The official welcoming ceremony showcased the strong bonds of collaboration between Ikatan Sarjana Oseanologi Indonesia (ISOI) and FEST – ITB. After 15 years, FEST collaborated with Ikatan Sarjana Oseanologi Indonesia (ISOI) to establish MSAT and ISOI’s annual science conference under this year’s theme, “Scaling Up Ocean Action Based on Science and Innovation for the Implementation of the Blue Economy”. This conference aims to understand fresh innovations that contribute to the realization of the Blue Economy.

On the previous day(26/10/2023), the participants had the opportunity to explore Bandung’s state-of-the-art famous place. Such as Museum Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi, Braga Street, and other famous landmarks. They took a guided tour, of ancient yet maintained historical buildings and other historical spaces that contribute to Bandung history as the center of Asia and Africa.
